Announcements: a banner in the app

Post a banner every patient sees in the portal — closures, promotions, or new treatments.

Announcements are banners that appear at the top of every patient's home screen in your portal. They're the fastest way to tell everyone something — a holiday closure, a promotion, or a new treatment. You'll find them on the Marketing page under Announcements.

Posting an announcement

Click New and fill in:

• Title — e.g. "Holiday hours this week".
• Message — the body, e.g. "We're closed Thursday and Friday — order refills by Wednesday noon."
• Type — sets the color/tone: Info, Success, Warning, Promotion, New feature, or Maintenance.
• Expires (optional) — a date it should automatically stop showing.
• Patients can dismiss — Yes lets each patient close it; No (pinned) keeps it visible.
• Link to (optional) — give the banner a button. A product in your shop opens that treatment inside the app (pick it from the list — handy for "new treatment" or promotion banners). A web address opens a link, e.g. your booking page. Link label is the button text, e.g. "Book now" or "See the offer". A product that is later hidden from the shop drops off the banner automatically.

Click Publish — it goes live to your patients immediately.

Managing announcements

• Edit any announcement with the pencil.
• Unpublish/Publish by clicking its status badge — unpublishing hides it without deleting.
• Delete removes it for good (patients stop seeing it right away).
• Each row shows how many patients viewed and dismissed it, so you can tell what's landing.

Tips

• Announcements go to all your patients — there's no per-segment targeting here. For targeted messages (by tag, or only patients who've ordered), use a push notification instead.
• Set an Expires date for time-bound notices (like closures) so you don't have to remember to take them down.
• Keep one clear message at a time — stacked banners are easy to ignore.
